University Life: No Disc Error

Mac OS X. I am having the same problem over here.
-Installed base game, ambitions, generations, late night, seasons, 80's 90's stuff, and University.
-The launcher works, but it keeps asking for the University disc.
-I have applied ultimate fix, reinstalled it, and re-applied it.
-The launcher says that my game is up to date.
I'm pretty sure I did everything right.
Downloaded ultimate fix. Read and re-read the installation guide:
I opened the #Crack folder, copied the two files inside, went through to the Sims 3>...>Bin , and pasted the files.
One fishy thing, the files did not prompt to be replaced when I pasted them into Bin like the guide specifically mentions.
Could this be something related to the update? Or is it just something I screwed up on again...?
I wouldn't be surprised, as I am pretty lame with computers.
All of the guides and instructions listed have been super clear and helpful so far; you are all awesome, patient folks.
I've been at this on-and-off for 2 days.
Please help me to end this agonizing journey.

Hello,
Which sims 3 bin did you paste the crack file to? Since you mention you weren't prompted to have files replaced, I suspect you copied them to the wrong location.
