Will your sims3 expansion torrents work with mac?

I'm really confused as to whether the torrent for Sims 3 Ambitions is available to play on a mac? I know that most Sims3 games are able to play on both but i just wanted to make sure

Yes they work, except the base game from here. You have to follow the Mac installation guide from here on how to install each expansion.
