Empty bubbles
Hi! When I open the launcher I get a script error (which is apparently harmless?). The game's loading screen is black and the bottom text keeps overlapping until it turns into a blue bar. At the main menu, the neighborhoods show up but the word bubbles are blank, and most of the tabs in the settings menu are also blank.
I installed the base game and all expansions. I did the outdated cracks, but another thread said that the manual patch would fix whatever damage they did, so I did that and then the ultimate fix (only the crack folder). The problem still hasn't corrected itself, and I've redone the patch/fix at least five times. I also tried to change the language in the regedit to EN-us, but it was already like that. The problem seems to be linked to incorrect cracks, so do I have to reinstall everything to reverse the damage from the outdated cracks? Or am I just doing the ultimate fix wrong?
Oh, and another thing, one of the instructions said to change the regedit SKU from 1 to 2, while a later one said to change it to 7. I currently have it at 1, since neither of the other numbers fixed my problem, so which number should I keep it at?

Hello there, and welcome to the Games4theworld Forum!
Regarding your problem, maybe your best bet is to uninstall the game with all the expansions and then install it again properly. It's perhaps the safest way of solving your problem. To uninstall them completely, you can use Your Uninstaller! Pro, that you can get in the G4TW downloads server right here:
http://www.games4theworld.org/downloads.html
In the program, you should select The Sims 3 and all of the expansions and use the "Super-Mode" to uninstall the game completely. Then, restart your computer and afterwards you can install the game again following these instructions carefully:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly
If you follow the guide correctly, you shouldn't have any issues!
And yes, the script error at the start of the launcher is harmless and is just annoying. One possible fix (that seems to work sometimes but sometimes doesn't) is to ensure that Java and Flash Player are properly updated and then restarting your computer. But don't worry, it won't affect your game in any way.
Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Re: Empty bubbles
Hi there,
The SKU won't affect your gameplay either, so don't worry about that one either.
As for your problem, before uninstalling anything, re-do these steps from step 1 again, please: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly
DO NOT skip any steps and RE-DOWNLOAD both the manual patch and the Ultimate Fix. DO NOT use any old versions you still have, remove all of them and then re-download the latest version.
After that, please test the game and let us know the result. Good luck!
