Hi AiOjou,
This would be pretty awesome, if true.
Though, maybe it's because of all of the indie games I support, I REALLY love atmosphere so I was (and still am) hoping they will release a Seasons expansion pack that is like the one they released for both TS2 and TS3.
I LOVED watched the seasons change; aside from Island Paradise, the Seasons expansion pack had to be one of my top favorites (it WAS my favorite though, in TS2). Pets weren't really my thing, as I was always too focused on building families and stuff to care.

Re: Sims 4 expansions
I hope its seasons.... I don't really use pets.... like EVER.... I mean of course I had it installed for both Sims 3 and Sims 2 but it was rare that I even had a pet lol. All they did was knock over my garbage can.... dang wild animals....

Being that Sims 4 is very architecturally similar to Sims 2 I sincerely hope we can expect some sort of Open for Business comeback.

Re: Sims 4 expansions
Ahh I would rather season as well or generations!! But the girl told me those two (pets and vacations) were first up and what she was working on. Suppose to hit in October or November. Meant to speak with her today because I wanted to know what else I needed to know in Computer science to work there ...lol seeing that all the code is written in Java.

Re: Sims 4 expansions
Oh, nice. Please let us know what else she says. I could do with out pets for little while. I prefer Vacations. Although honestly I hope they include toddlers in it cuz WTF.

Re: Sims 4 expansions
I think that EA should be making NEW expansions though not old expansions... The new expansions can totally have concepts from the old ones but I want to see the game be newer and beter then ever.... I doubt even if I voiced my opinion it would reach them...

Re: Sims 4 expansions
I agree it should be newer and better...but don't try to fix what ain't broken tho...lol Vacations is loved by pretty much everyone! pets I can do without...I would love to see new stuff. And I will try my best to see her Monday seeing that I don't have class.

I really hope so!MisterDingo wrote:Being that Sims 4 is very architecturally similar to Sims 2 I sincerely hope we can expect some sort of Open for Business comeback.
Vacation is also great Couldn't care less about pets (in the sims world ), I don't think it would be a good idea to make that the first EP.

Hi MisterDingo,
Yeah, I pretty much whimpered.
I've almost forgotten how fantastic the Sims 2 expansion packs were. I really hope TS4's expansions will be more like TS2's expansion packs - but better with more features. I really could care less about toddlers or pools. I want dynamic weather, new vacation hot-spots or even brand new worlds to discover and brand new Sims to meet. Whew. If only I knew what they were planning!

Re: Sims 4 expansions
The only thing I felt was missing from Open For Business was the ability to run a "servicing" business where people paid money in exchange for particular services rather than for goods.
I know that sounds confusing, but what I mean is imagine if you start a business and you sell a particular emotion to anyone who comes in; it's up to you to make Sims feel that way before they leave, but you could definitely run dozens of non-retail businesses that way. Make up your own reasons for it. You're selling Happy so you set it up like a psychiatrist's office, etc. or you run a gym and are making money for getting patrons Energized, whatever.
I agree that expansion packs should mostly be unique but certain packs like Open For Business are such important parts of the game (for me) that I honestly feel they should be part of the base game, but the second best would of course be to get them as recurring expansions.

Hi MisterDingo,
You know, your post here really had me thinking. That, and excited in wondering what the first (even last) expansion will be for The Sims 4.
The Sims 4 really focuses on the ability to not only multi-task emotionally, but The Sims 4 gives these emotions a huge amount of depth that we've never really seen in any simulation game like it (or EAs other installments i.e, TS3, TS2 and so on). Your idea on "selling" emotion really is a neat concept!
I think creating an expansion pack for The Sims 4 that is directly stemmed from The Sims 2: Open for Business would be not only easy for EA, but an AWESOME first expansion pack. Not only could it open the door for a larger neighborhood (as everyone seems to be really disappointed in this), but it'd also allow us to actually follow them to work if we choose to. These are just my own ideas, mind you. It'd be really neat if the game could prompt us to follow the Sim to work. If we chose not to, we could still alter how that particular sim worked at his or her job (Work Hard, Take Off Work Early, Socialize with Co-workers, etc.). This would allow us to further develop our other Sims in the household. If we chose to GO with the sim to work, it'd be really neat playing as them in that type of "work" setting. You could then implement your idea, as the game itself becomes something where you have a certain time-limit. From the second they get to work until the minute they are off of work, you really do the work for them, ensuring their performance is good, etc.
This would just be so awesome if they added that in. I don't see a reason as to why they couldn't, as even toddlers technically are coded into the game already - pools, too. It's just a matter of them really sitting down and creatively implementing it!

Re: Sims 4 expansions
I just got done reading an article from Mod the sims which had a link to and it had that EA will come with 50 expansion packs over the years, you can read it here

Hi there!
Sorry to 'disappoint' you, but p4rgaming is a satire news website. So, that article is a joke.
You can check it easily if you look at the other 'articles' there, specially the ones with titles such as "Konami Enters Fashion Industry After Realizing They Have No Place In the Gaming Industry".
Don't worry, it's improbable that EA will release such an amount of EPs. It would be a very bad marketing strategy.
