Simulation.dll is broken. [SOLVED]

So after downloading the latest sims 4 fix, while i was extracing the file using 7zip, a message at the bottom appeared saying that data error Simulation.dll is broken. my game crashes at launch as well. is this a problem with the fix, or with my computer? and how do i solve it? here is a screenshot of what it says exactly

Remember that you need to use WinRAR to extract the RAR files from the fix. Using 7zip may be the problem. Try using WinRAR and check how it goes.

Hi, i tried using WinRAR ro extract the files and i got a similar error message saying:

C:\Users\Acer\Downloads\The_Sims_4_fix.rar: Checksum error in Game\Bin\Simulation.dll. The file is corrupt
C:\Users\Acer\Downloads\The_Sims_4_fix.rar: Unexpected end of archive

Sorry for the late reply.

Did you also make sure that the torrent was completely downloaded before attempting to extract the RAR file? Doing it before the torrent shows "Seeding" or "Finished" may cause errors like these.

You can stop the torrent and then, if you are using μTorrent (I'm not sure about other programs), right click the torrent and select "Force Re-check". This may fix corruption in the RAR file.

I have the same problem..My game crashes after launch because of the simulation.dll file. I am sure that the torrent is completely downloaded and I extracted and replaced the files twice. Something is wrong with the simulation.dll file! Fix it please! I can't wait to play TS4.

Please, always open a NEW thread for your issues instead of posting under a "dead topic" (= a topic that has not received final feedback from the topic creator). Smile

But OK. Concerning your issue, there isn't much else to say.

I got my game working fine, and so do 99% of other people on here. The remaining 1% of cases are such, that the user will need to re-download the torrent, maybe with a different torrent client than before, but that is very rare. Also, I would try turning off the anti-virus program(s) completely before re-downloading, and/or configuring the exclusions of the anti-virus properly.

I see by the OP's posting history, that he or she obviously managed to install the game already (and posted elsewhere about a follow-up issue). Hence I consider the problem solved. Please open a NEW thread alexandra, if you need more help about this. Simply go into a sub-forum and click on the button "new thread" at the top. Smile
