Age of Empires III Multiplayer. [SOLVED]

I just have a quick question about Age of Empires 3. It says there is a single-player option & a multi-player option. I was wondering is it safe to go online in multi-player? Sorry, but yes I know I am a bit paranoid. But I choose to call it careful, not paranoid.

If anyone has successfully done this or knows anything about this, please let me know!

I wouldn't try it without researching it a bit for that specific game.. Usually upon login, a game's server will check to make sure your version of the game matches their current version.. If it doesn't it may just prompt you to update your game or let you know that your game version is pirated, cracked, or altered.. I don't know anything about cracking except how to make the game run on my machine; but if a cracked version matches the official current version it could work..
One of the staff here should know more about cracks and all of that..

Well, as far as I know it is safe, but I'm not sure whether it's possible to go online with a cracked version. I think you need an original serial code for that, to register your game. If not, you can just go online.
If I'm right, it's also possible to go online via Hamachi - not sure -, but I don't know anything about that.
