Hi there, @alyssaisdumb! Very Happy

Have you already seen this topic here?

It's possible that the security software on your friend's laptop needs to be configured correctly.

Apart from that, did you use the latest Ultimate Fix for the game? And the latest instructions?

I just downloaded the latest fix, and followed the steps in the thread.

Now I'm getting an error message saying that Origin isn't running

I see. And did you also move the The Sims 4 folder out of Electronic Arts, so that it's directly into Program Files (x86)? That is generally the solution for this problem. Keep in mind that you should also add this new location to the Exceptions list of your antivirus, as to make sure that the antivirus doesn't mess up with anything important.

Please, let us know how it goes. Good luck! Very Happy

Interesting. Are you sure that Origin is completely closed? If Origin is open when the game starts, even if it's in another location, this error will still appear. You should check on the Notification Tray and the Task Manager too, so that Origin isn't running at all.

Another thing that can't hurt is to re-apply the Ultimate Fix to the current location of the game, that should be at Program Files (x86)\The Sims 4. Make sure that you don't have another copy of the game in the old location either, and that the shortcut on the desktop (if you have any) is pointing to the new location of the game and not the old location.

Let us know any updates on the matter. Good luck! Very Happy

Please, follow the instructions in the VIDEO below and download the stuff from the link in its description at YouTube.

It is more up to date and it should work. Let us know if you need further assistance or if you got your game working. Thanks!

I also added a link to the cracked DLL only, remembering you need to extract it to the same folder where your TS4.exe file is, but only AFTER you exclude that folder from your anti-virus real time protection.
