There was no 'TS3.exe' file for me.

Hello,

That's correct.
This topic is extremely old, so the information here is no longer relevant. What you have there, is the crack you need to get the game working.

Hello and welcome to the forum @KurtW87NC,

Basically, there is this guide here:

Install the base game at first, then apply the 1.67 manual patch, followed by the installation of at least one expansion or stuffpack.

Then copy the TS3W.exe and TSLHost.dll files from your screenshot above, to where you installed your base game. Typically that will be C:\Program files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. Then run the game. Good luck !

Ah! Well Now I am getting the no disk issue.......I cant win for loosing. I can't get The Sims 4 to work either but one thing at a time.

Did you install at least one of the expansions or stuffpacks ? And beyond that, please make sure to copy & paste the TS3W.exe and TSLHost.dll files into the correct location. Typically that will be C:\Program files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.
