Multiple errors

I keep getting two errors. When I first boot up the Sims I get an immediate error that says unable to connect to the EA download manager. The biggest problem is when I click the play button it asks for my registration code. I've downloaded both fixes and applied both and I'm just confused on the whole topic. Thanks to anyone for help!

The EA Download Manager no longer exists, so it's obvious that you cannot connect.
Download Origin instead

Welcome to the forum!

You need neither EA Download Manager, or Origin to run the game.
If you get asked for a registration code however, there is a problem with the crack. Did you install any expansions? If you didn't, you should install at least one expansion or stuffpack. Any one of those, Generations or newer, will do. If you do have one of those installed, you have to check if you copied the crack to the right location, if you copied the right files (take the ones from the #Crack folder in the fix), and if you allowed both files to replace the ones that already existed in the folder you copied them to.

Okay I downloaded Generations and now it's telling me to insert a disc.
