How to convert Sims3 .package files to .Sims3Pack?

Before I updated my Sims3 to the newest version, I deleted all my CCs.

After I updated the newest version of Sims3......
I downloaded some CCs (hairstyles) .package and placed in Doc/EA/Sims3/Mods/Packages/ folder.
(Right right right?)
And it didn't appear in the hair section(s) when I was creating my Sims.
I tried many times but, still......

I've been Google-ing how to convert .package files to .Sims3Pack but to no avail.
So I thought probably you people here know some ways to convert it.
Do help me out!

Well, there exists a method to convert .packages to .Sims3pack

You'll need TSR Workshop.

Once you inserted the .package file into it, click Export as .sims3pack.

I once tried that a while ago, but I wasn't able to convert them back to (useful) .sims3pack files.

I know, it won't work for every .packages. And if you have more packages that belong to an item, you can't convert them into 1 item.

So, it is an alternative, not a solution. Sorry.

I would suggest getting Delphys Dashboard from ModtheSims, you just place the file in a folder, run it select your MODs folder.

What it does is it goes through all your mods, tells you if it a duplicate, corrupted or if it conflicts with another mod, and if its a Sims 2 package, which are all reasons why they wont work. It will even remove and fix the problem. you can also download Sp3e (I think thats it) and you can put all your packages into one package which makes it quicker for loading the game, just dont combine hacks and mods.
