Sims 3 lag every single minute!

Hi. Ive an issue, my Sims 3 keeps freezing every few mintues and then after that goes back to normal and freezing again. The sounds and everything are still playing as per normal. I have the NRASS.package installed as well as the framework setup as well.. Note: This two is installed after the frequent freezing occurs, thought it might help in a way.. :/

Oh. I forgot to mention, pets and showtime installed. The freezing still occurred at that point but not that much. After installing the barnacle bay and lunar lake from ur mediafire site, the freezing worsened. *I'm not implying anything here* Hope this helps...

Hello,
I haven't played Starlight Shores much myself, it could be that there are routing problems in that world. Are you using any other mods/cc?

Nope, just the ones that I mentioned to you. Are you able to help me find out more about this pls? Much appreciated! Cos I'm really frustrated about the freezing. I can't play without much agony...

Hello,
Have you tried tweaking the graphics settings? I know it sounds silly because your graphics card should be more than sufficient to play The sims 3, but the game is buggy at best, so it's worth a try. I've read that especially setting the draw distance to low can make a difference.

Oh I always keep that on. Don't want my Sims to appear as Vampires in their mirrors lol. But it can make a difference.

It's known to cause problems for some people, so it's worth trying, I guess.
Haha, of course, if possible, it's preferable to keep it on.

Hi Admin and Lady.
I've tried whatever you guys told me and it still freezes! The grass and the background music is playing, just not my sims and the menu. Please guys, you got to help me. I even lowered everything to the lowest. It can't be because my graphic card sucks...

I would agree with you on that
Other than Overwatch, are you using any other mods/cc?
Have you tried clearing the cache's?
Go to My documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 and delete the following:
CasPartCache.package
compositorCache.package
ScriptCache.package
simCompositorCache.package
Go to My documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Thumbnails and delete everything in there.
Go to My documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Worldcaches (if you have that) and empty it.
Also, turn off the in-game store, if you haven't done so already.

I have the exact same problem!! I installed everything today, (except the stuff packs, only got the high end loft stuff) it all ran perfectly up to this point, the create sim etc, played for 10 minutes and it began to lag the same way. Sound and music is still on, but for 10-15 seconds I can't do anything. Then it goes back to normal for 30-60 seconds and again the same.
I checked my system requirements online with an app and it's all fine! I did lower the graphics, restarted, but it didnt stop.
I'm playing the islo paradiso neighborhood.
Mod edit: please open a NEW topic for your issue(s), instead of posting under someone else's topic. Things just get too confusing if people post under topics of other people.
