Issue with game startup

I just installed Showtime and Supernatural and my launcher updated perfectly. However, when I press Play, the launcher simply closes and the game never boots.

Did you tried to apply the Ultimate Fix, if you didn't: here's the link of Ultimate fix: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t752-the-sims-3-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems

Try to run the game via: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\TS3.exe (This'll bypass the launcher)

That issue is indeed most likely caused by an out-dated crack.

DO NOT skip any steps and RE-DOWNLOAD both the manual patch and the Ultimate Fix.
