Installing add on packs. [SOLVED]

Hi, I have installed and playing the sims 3 without any expansions installed. if i'd like to install the expansions, would my current created sims be deleted? can you provide me with instructions on how to install?

Haha, that's good news.
It's not a bad idea to back up your savegames from time to time though, just to be sure: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Saves

just one quick question, if i want to add on, say "pets", i'll just have to install and copy the files from the crack folder from your ultimate fix and it'll be okay?

Glad to hear it's all working fine now.

If you want to add more expansions, just install those expansions, but do not apply any "# Crack" folders. Test the game. If it works, don't fix what isn't broken. If it didn't work, re-do step 3 and 4: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly
