Sims 3 70's Installation Problem. [SOLVED]

Here's my problem, I tried to install the 70's 80's 90's pack and it had a problem updating from the installer. I found the update on here, and successfully updated to 1.48. I tried to install the pack again and I get the error "setup.exe has stopped working." I tried the ultimate fix and it also gave me the error.

Try to re-extract the stuff pack.rar again with WinRAR, and use those extracted files.

That did it! I can't believe I didn't try that before posting. I think it was because the drive I extracted it on originally is starting to break down. I feel like a total noob, but thanks for the help!

Always got to make sure the basic things are covered, so if someone has a problem, prefer to start from the beginning, or as close to it as we can.
