Patch 2.2 and invisible Sim. [SOLVED]

First of all, thank you so much for all of this troubleshooting and assistance in downloading the games! I appreciate it so much.

I followed your instructions and downloaded the Sims 3 base game and expansion packs, including the manual patch and ultimate fix. I also downloaded some custom content. I have been playing for about two weeks with zero problems, and I am loving it!

However! Suddenly one of my Sims is disappearing in the house. They are performing their actions, still, but I cannot see them do it at all. When I double click on their face to view the Sim, it takes me to the second story of the house and sometimes shows two small black shadow footprints, but they do not move and I cannot see the Sim. Basically, they turn invisible. There is nothing supernatural going on, and it feels very glitchy in nature.

When I opened my game today to try again, it prompted me to install the latest patch version 2.2. Does this have something to do with it? Should I try downloading this patch or wait until you amazing people have a new patch?

So far I have tried restarting and clearing my cache. I am not sure what else to try.

The Store Patches are always safe to download. They patch in-game content, not the game itself. (But it doesn't do anything special if you're using decrapified content anyway)

As for your problem: do you have any Mods or Custom Content?

As for your question, yep, like I said I have some mods and CC that I have had installed since the beginning. I removed it all, and it was still happening. However, I have found that if I head to a park or market and then return to the house, everything is back to normal. I think it must just be a glitch! Thank you!
