Can't see my sim..

So I got all expansions installed and everything has been working fine until I graduated with my sim..
When my sim was gonna go home from the campus or what you call it, she got stuck on like the edge where the car jumps to the other town (hopefully someone knows what I mean) and right there the little icon on the left became green and I got a new sim from the house I lived in with the sim on campus..
Now I have tried reseting the sim with no success and also tried buying her a lot because she didn't have a house, don't know why exactly..

She suppose to be selected here..

Any solution or will I just have to start over?
