Can't See Social Groups

Every since I entered the university, when I hoover my mouse over other sims, I can only see their name. It does not show me which social group they belong to. I have been playing for almost a full term in sims time and it still has not appeared. My sim wants to meet others from different social groups but I cannot tell which social group they belong to because it never shows me.

if u have cleaned out cache files and it didnt help...try moving sims 3 doc folder to the desktop launching a new game and testing again..this will remove any corrupted data in the game..if this works save test world and put back saved material in older files
