Ultimate Fix for Mac Installation

I recently purchased a macbook pro and reinstalled all of my Sims games on it. After installing all of my content and other things, the game froze every 2 minutes. I ultimately decided to uninstall the games. Now, I have them all reinstalled and I'm trying to install the ultimate fix to hopefully avoid any future problems. However, when I click the download it takes me to MEGA, I save the file to my desktop, and then the download is complete. However, which I click the file it says it cannot be read.

I tried to view the instructional video, but found it is only for PC's with windows. Can someone please explain just how to install the ultimate fix?

Did you download the Mac version of the Ultimate Fix? It's below the PC version, same page.
The Mac version has an included "# Installation Guide.pdf".

Yeah, I'm positive that I've downloaded the Mac version multiple times. When MEGA says that the download is complete I try to click on the file that I saved on my desktop, but I get this message:

"There is no application set to open the document “The_Sims_3_fix_MAC.rar”."

You should use StuffIt Expander to open all .rar files on mac. That's why you can't open it, not because Ultimate Fiz file is corrupted or something.
