Wait, so you've mounted the image, have you launched it? The install should then be automatic from there...
Where exactly do you get an error?

Ok what do you use to mount your image?

//EDIT:

What I use is Daemon Tools.
Once
you mount your image, it appears as a virtual CD drive (like E:\ or F:\
etc.). Then you double-click this and you should have no problem. Even
if it asks you for the disk, you can point it.
Hope this helps.

Well I'm trying to use Daemon Tools Lite but I'm not sure if I'm using it correctly.

Ok, here is how it works.
Once you install the free version with the free license, launch the application.

  • click Add Image (first icon with a disc on a sheet of paper and a green plus sign) and select the .iso of your app
  • the image should appear in the top panel, select it and click Mount (the green play button)
  • the (F:) icon should change from an empty disk to a Sims icon

That's it. At this point, if you go to your computer, there should be a F: drive with the Sims icon. Double click this and the install should start.

//EDIT:

JumpingSnakes wrote:Also, after i mount it shows up as D:

This depends on your computer. Daemon Tools merely add a virtual drive. So
if your computer only has one hard drive (C:), then the first one
created is (D:). Otherwise it goes on down the alphabet... So I only
said (F:) because my computer has two hard disks (C: and D:) and a CD
drive (E:). So the next letter that comes is F!

When I click browse i see the Sims 3 symbol then it says BD-ROM Drive _D:) SIMS3. When I click it in browse then click ok, it says, "Setup could not find a file on the specified path or disk. Please check that the proper disk is inserted or specify a new path."

Ok, for this install, you need two disks, right? The sims 3 start disk and the sims 3 disk 1. Mount both images:
  • In Daemon Tools, click Add A DT Virtual Drive
  • On (D:) you mount the start disk, and on (E:) you mount the disk1
  • In My Computer, double click on the start disk (no need to browse), then, when prompted to disk 1, just browse to (E:)

Hope it fixes the problem!
