Again, the patching problem

So I also wanted to manualpatch to 1.55. And it didn't work, browsed all the threads, but they are all closed! Stating they 'found a solution' but they don't say what that solution is

I've applied the fix, downloaded from Chrome. Didn't apply the fix. But: 'Cannot determine version'. Something like that, translated

Soo, what else can I try? Never had any diffulculties before, but I didnt patch to 1.50, maybe thats it??

do you update to 1.55 the fix from here do do it from your game:(

You can update through the Launcher.
If it doesn't work, try the Manual Patch.
If both don't work, give me your full version and I will give you a link!

It doesn't work! It is exactly what my launcher says. Update from version blabla from version blabla, I mean

Oh ok, thought of another version meaning...
Ok. Here's what to do.
¤ Get the latest Ultimate Fix, and copy the files from the Base Game folder to C:\Program Files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin
¤ Open your Launcher, and go to the Update tab. Refresh, and update your game. If the update fails, use the Manual Patch or the file I gave you.
¤ Once it's done, copy the files from the Crack folder of the Ultimate Fix to C:\Program Files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.
Your game should now be up-to-date and working!

Yes, do I have to re-install? Because otherwise I will just not install island paradise. I can still play my game without the update
