Help.. Please ?

Ok, so I really tried to fix this on my own. But nothing I tried is working. So I've decided it's time to ask for help.

This just started after patch 1.55. I no longer can click on any sim (even my active one) nor can I click "Go Here". I can, however, click on options. So I can make them swing, or do homework, or go to school/work, or watch tv, or whatever. But as far as them talking to each other, interacting with their toddler/child daughters, or even kissing each other. I can't do any of that. I have mods, yes. Mostly Twallian's. And all my mods are updated. I did that the same day I patched up to 1.55. The mods I couldn't update are still in there, but I know for a fact they aren't the problem because I removed them and it still didn't work. I did get it to work when I took my entire Package folder out. I could click on everybody, everything was like it was at patch 1.50. So I figured, 'It's something to do with what's in the Package folder. So I put it back in and have spent the last two days.. maybe three or four.. can't remember - taking out packages to see which on it is. After all of that.. it still doesn't work! I don't know what to do short of uninstall every sim game and reinstall.. everything. But I don't really wanna do that because I'm attached to my current family.

Is there anything I can do to salvage this? And if not, would it make a difference if I backed up my saved game and reinstalled everything? Would I still be able to use my saved game?

Do you try play another sims? 
if another sims can play then maybe is your sims have problem , maybe missing expansion or mod i guess

Nope. I tried to create another family (because I wanted to play with the scuba diving and stuff), so I created a father and daughter. They couldn't communicate with each other, but they could go scuba diving and stuff. And for some strange reason, they could communicate with the merman they found, but not each other. And as with my main family, I couldn't say "Go Here" with them either.

I've tried the family that I had before IP and I tried making a completely new family after IP and it does the same thing.

Sorry, I just now got what you where saying Astro Zee. And no. The new family was in a completely different save file from the family I had before IP.

I tried it and for the moment it's working. So thank you so much! I'll let you know if it acts up again
