After update 1.55, on clicking 'play' in the launcher, it asks for registration code. [SOLVED]

I have been playing my game since some time now and updated it today manually to version 1.55.
it installed easily and the patches available also downloaded fast.
now, when I try to play the game, it does open the launcher, but then asks for a registration code.
I tried generating one from '#crack>serial.exe', but it doesn't accept it....
what went wrong?'
and what do I do now? Sad

Hello,

Do you have other expansions? If yes, please apply the latest Ulitmate Fix after patching your game. If not, install any expansions you want and then apply the latest Ultimate Fix.
