What happend to the sims 3 ambitions? [SOLVED]

when i downloaded the the sims 3 ambitions from proxy the download finished as a file.

Hello,
How and where did you download that expansion from ?
I suggest you try the "torrent" download from here: http://www.games4theworld.org/downloads.html (search for "The Sims 3: Ambitions" and click on the magnet symbol). But before you can do that, you need a "Bittorent client"; for example, google for "utorrent". Download and install that program. After that you can click on the magnet symbol.

OK, I had to ask this question just to be sure.
Go to http://www.games4theworld.org/downloads.html and download "WinRAR 4.20". After downloading and installing that program, create a new folder somewhere. Now you open the download with WinRAR and select all the contents (right-click on an item and press Ctrl + A). Then you choose the button "extract to" and you select the folder you created before. If done correctly, you should now have all contents of the .RAR file in that folder.
Now run this "Autorun.exe" (or whatever it's called).
