Uninstall problem (program not compatible, wat?)

Oookay, I've got a worse problem now. I found the game directory and got the ultimate fix and knew how to do everything when the launcher crapped out and I decided to uninstall and then try it out again. Only it won't uninstall. It says it's incompatible and freezes up when I open it in the control panel to uninstall it, and when I click the reinstall button on the mounted disk, it just tries to unsuccessfully uninstall it again, over and over. What the hell? It is cause I've got windows 8 or something?

Yes, I did. My problem right now is that I can't uninstall in order to reinstall, which I'm sure would fix it. When I open the launcher it doesn't work, I can't do anything with it right now because I can't stall it from the two mounted disks.
