Mac Installation Problems

I downloaded The Sims 3 Island Paradise, Pets (fixed), Seasons, Supernatural, and University Life expansion packs and opened all the .rar files using a file opener named Zipeg to extract them. The problem I'm having when I'm following the guide in the folders is when it tells me to follow the first step of the guide which is to, "1. Open the 'Sims3EP09Setup.exe' (or for the specific expansion) and follow on screen instructions." so when I go to click it it ends up looking like this. Any suggestions?

Also I have physical copies I bought of the Sims 3, Sims 3 Ambitions, Night Life, and Fast Lane Stuff Pack which I bought if that has anything to do with it.

You need to use StuffIt Expaner for extracting all Sims 3 games. You can get it free from net.

I still seem to be having the same problem

You have to use the installer not the .exe, macs don't run a straight .exe file unless its in a wrapper of some kind like Wine.

Alright so I clicked the installer and it popped up on my dock, but it says it "could not identify the integrity of the installer"

ok from your images it looks like your trying to run the installer from a folder after you unpacked it, correct?  If so you have to put all the contents of the folder into a .dmg file (go to disk utility to make a new image)

Yes I am! Okay so I'm on disc utility and it looks like this, what do I do now?

there is a guide on this page that tells you step by step what to do I think under the mac fixes, but you have to change the name (so u know what its called) increase the size to about 4GB and then leave the rest alone and hit create.  after it does that you will see dmg image on ur desktop, open it and put ALL the files from your folder (one game per .dmg) into it.  (download the guide there are steps you will need later for the cracks/fixes etc)

So I created the disk image and it still doesn't seem to be working. Do you have link to these step by step instructions?

but I hate to break it to you, because it's currently happening to me...looking back at your original pics you have files that your mac is reading as DOCUMENTS that it should see as unix executables, and I THINK that might be an issue. I posted this very thing in a response to some macs not being able to install the new EPs.  I am not sure if trying to convert those files will work I tried replacing and it didn't work BUT i tried copying files from my working University to my non working  Island Paradise.

Alright I've been downloading them now and everything seems to be working fine. But one more question, do I apply to ultimate fix to every crack file in each expansion pack as well?
