I've been scouring the web for any fixes for some of the freezing and other things that seem to go wrong with the EP and I came across the NRaas mod "Overwatch." It's supposed to help with any bugs and lag, and get your game to run more efficiently. I am currently using it and it's done a pretty good job! I was trying to check-in to a resort and my game kept freezing because "my sim has a self-registered profession" but once I download this mod, I was able to check-in without a problem.

Try it out and see if maybe it solves any issues you might still have!
