Sims 3 Island Paradise: No Resort Build/Buy Option

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has recently installed Sims 3 Island Paradise and not been able to run a resort? Most of the game content is there, apart from the option to select the resort button to get content such as welcome desk and resort tower in buy mode.

If this has happened to anyone else, are you aware of a fix please? 
I have installed it onto my laptop which runs Windows 8. I have also installed a few other that I have been missing, and these seem to have worked fine (including the additional buy mode buttons appearing).

Hello,
Just go to your resort and press to Buy/Build mode button it wont zoom into your home, it will start build/buy mode in your resort.

You should try this:
type "testingcheatsenabled true" in cheatbox and then shift click on empty ground of your resort and then select build or buy mode from there.
