Issues with Mac installation Empty Issues with Mac installation

Post by Guest Mon 15 Jun 2015, 17:13

I've been trying to find info on installing Sims on my Mac, but have had no luck apart from the PDF instructing how to install expansions, which is actually the entire reason this became an issue in the first place.

I tried installing Supernatural following the PDF, but as a result, all it did was screw up my game, not letting me open it whatsoever. So after looking around online, I had to reinstall, not being able to find the torrent I had used months prior.

PDF: (Was going to post, but apparently new members can't. It was the games4theworld Mac installation PDF)

I came here, found the complete edition torrent, and have been struggling with it ever since.

The setup for the base game doesn't seem to want to run, nor does it when I try it as a .dmg, and as far as I know the expansions are probably the exact same.

Not sure if maybe I extracted it wrong, or if the PDF is simply outdated or what....but it's angering me how I can't get back to the lives of my multicoloured elven genie women.

Help would be much appreciated!

Mod edit: moved to "Mac support".

Issues with Mac installation Empty Re: Issues with Mac installation

Hello CaDh33f,

After base game of the TPB version is unavaible, and we have our complete collection of every Sims 3 game, the Mac guideline is different, it should be different. I am working on it, and it'll renewed in this week.

Please keep in touch, soon the guide will be ready and I will let everyone including you.

But the thing is, only the base game installation is different, which still is really easy. When you open the "collection" download and the Sims 3 base game file, there is a file named "The Sims 3.app" and there is a .dmg file in it. All you need to do is, double click  the .dmg file and run the installation windows and follow the insturctions there, that's all.
