Irritating Lag

Irritating Lag
Hi, so, I'm experiencing a problem that seems to be pretty well known- lag. The interesting thing is it's mainly camera lag, the animation for the sims seem to be quite good it's just when I move the camera around. It's really annoying and what bothers me the most is that I think my PC should be able to run the game smoothly. I've also noticed that object textures load pretty slow although some days it's better than others.
I have 6GBs of RAM, Quad core AMD A6 1.60 GHz processor (I think it's got a booster that boosts it up to 2.00 GHz for each core), 678 GBs of space and an AMD Radeon HD 6520g graphics card. (Is maybe the graphics card the problem?) I'm running on Windows 7 64bit.
I've had this problem since I first bought my laptop just under a year ago and did a completely fresh install with no mods or CC or anything. It's frustrating because it doesn't make a difference even when I turn the settings down as low as they can go, so I have them on high because the camera lag is the only real problem. It's not just one save and I have added few nraas mods to improve gameplay, I run the game using Game Booster, I've tried the ultimate fix (which sorted some crashing I had after installing the new patch). The over all performance of my laptop is great it's just when it comes to Sims.
Basically the problem was there from day one so it's nothing I've added onto the game.
I'm sorry if this doesn't make much sense, I'm trying to cover everything and likely failing miserably!

Hello,
If you haven't done so already, have a look at the suggestions in the following topic: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t4692-game-lag-possible-fixes
And which NRAAS mods did you add to "improve gameplay" ? Does it make a difference if you remove the NRAAS mods again ? I've seen a similar problem with my game, when I downloaded "NRAAS Story progression" (and I removed that mod again for the same reason).
Also, can you try to defragment your hard-disc and maybe even close some "background processes", with the task manager ?
However, according to the official "system requirements", the minimum GHz for Windows 7 are 2.4 Ghz...maybe this could have an impact too.
For now, that's the most obvious stuff that comes to my mind, but let us know the result.
Good luck !

Unfortunately I've tried all the things mentioned in this thread and nothing has made a difference.
Nraas mods I use are Overwatch, Error Trap, Master Controller and Debug Enabler. I've run the game without them several times to see if it makes a difference but it doesn't.
I also defragment pretty much every day along with disk clean-up and clearing of any unnecessary temporary files. My PC performs exceedingly well for everything else. Apart from the lag the Sims runs well too. I was hoping that Quad core would make a difference, but perhaps not. =/

That's what "PianoAshes" already mentioned Shamrock.Shamrock wrote:Try to use Game Booster by IOBit...
Generally, laptops aren't made for "hardcore-gaming" in the first place. Also, most current PC games aren't "optimized" for multi-core computers, meaning that most games can't use more than one processor.
Do you actually experience similar problems with other software or games ? Do you maybe have more "current" games installed, which have higher system requirements ? If so, how are they working ?

Re: Irritating Lag
Oh, that's a shame. The quad core has been really useful for everything else.
I don't actually play anything other than the Sims 3 so I don't know. When I bought it it was said to be great for handling games that are quite demanding and had some video so I was hoping the Sims was covered, but perhaps not.
