Double click... Nothing opens. Empty Double click... Nothing opens.

Post by Guest Mon 23 Sep 2013, 06:44

I have the based game of the Sims 3 downloaded from Steam. I decided to download Sims 3 Pets in stead of buying it because I figured, what's the sense when Sims 4 is coming out next year. So everything was going fine... Ish, until I let Origin update all the patches to the expansion pack, and now... The base game and/ or the expansion pack won't open. I double click I even tried to open it directly in the folder. The Steam prompt comes up, and that's it. No error messages, no nothing. The computer acts like I have the icons just for show.

I know it's probably basic stuff, but torrenting games and myself just don't get along. Please help.

Hello,

Steam-bought games are not compatible (or will not work properly) with legitimate disc version/cracked version of the expansion packs/stuff packs. So I strongly suggest you to download the base game from www.games4theworld.org.
NOTE: Remember to extract all .rar with WinRAR ONLY.

(1) Download Your Uninstaller Pro from www.games4theworld.org
(2) Uninstall the base game bought from Steam and The Sims 3: Pets with Your Uninstaller Pro Super Mode.
(3) Install the base game downloaded from www.games4theworld.org.
(4) Download the latest manual patch and apply it: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v157-fix-manual-patch
(5) Install The Sims 3: Pets and any other expansion packs/stuff packs you want (you can download them from www.games4theworld.org)
(6) Download the latest Ultimate Fix here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t752-the-sims-3-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems
(7) Open the folder #crack from the Ultimate Fix with WinRAR. Drag and drop the content of the folder to C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.

Thank you so much for the help! I really couldn't understand why I was having issues. I will be sure to pass it on to my friends!

Hello,

The reason why you are having issues because Steam is a complicated system (more complicated than Origin). That means the games downloaded via Steam will not be shown as seperate game folders. It will be embedded in the application of Steam. This makes installing expansion packs/stuff packs outside of Steam impossible.
