Ultimate Fix 1.57 not working

I have put all the files in the correct location and then it came to the patch. Upon opening the launcher I saw that all the games beyond ShowTime is faded eventhough I have them installed.
Then the patch won't automatically detect and the manual patch comes up with a broken link.

Ok, just to check. You should first patch to 1.57, then apply the Ultimate Fix.

I'm having some problems too. I get an invalid file error when I try to patch. I had that during the last patch so I guess I'll have to wait for the manual patch. Also I'm a bit confused. The instruction with the fix say to remove the nocd mod, install the fix then patch and install the crack. Has something changed in the procedure? Are we supposed to patch first? If so, is there a way to fix it short of re-installing?

I can't even download the patch 1.57

I tried copying the link and using Internet download manager but it didn't work and get a signal to download. So I'm stuck with half of the fix done without the crack and I don't know if the games I have installed that are faded out on the launcher will load now

I did try the hosts but I don't have any ea.com related.
Downloading manual patch from PM now again as other half shut the computer down as they didn't know I was downloading anything

Also, if it isn't, have you tried to right-click on the link and do "Save the target as..."?
