Can't log in at the launcher

I need help. When I try logging in at the launcher it just doesn't work. Can anyone help me?

What exactly do you mean it doesn't work?  Does it give you errors of some sort?

Um.. I put in my email address and password and then that little window closes but pops up again... And again... And I can't log in...

Did you receive any error messages? Or the little window popped up and then disappeared all of the sudden?

I had this problem too and the only way to solve it is to press enter multiple times every time the window pops up. If that doesn't help, I am afraid you have to give up logging in with the account in the launcher and log in to www.thesims3.com instead.

But I am logged in at the website...

the Welcome page is kinda useless in my opinion. And I can tell you the launcher "Welcome" page is glitched and even though you enter the correct account, it doesn't mean you can log in successfully. Still try the method I have mentioned before and log in multiple times (don't give up even though you cannot log in).

What do you mean "download the stuff you bought"?

Let me clarify: You cannot download stuff via the launcher Welcome page. If you want to download and install Custom Content, go to www.thesims3.com.

There you will find a tab called Store. Click this:


 
Type in the password again and you will see the stuff you have bought. Choose the ones you want and click "Download" and then "Run". Wait for the launcher to install the Custom Content for you.

But it says I have to log in at the launcher to do that

Can you try the following:

1. Download the sims3packs you want. This time click "Save as". Save it to C:\Users\(your computer username)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads.
2. Open the launcher and hover to Download tab.
3. Check all the boxes of the Custom Content you want to download and click "Install".

If this doesn't work, you might have to consider using an application called CC Magic.

I feel like a total idiot but how do you mean I'll download them? I've got them in my purchase history but when I try to download them from there, the launcher just says I have to log in...

My best bet is that you clicked on "Run" instead of "Save As" after you chose to download a sims3pack, right?

But if I download from the website then the only option is to... Um... Download...

I tried but it just gets saved like an "Internet file"

The chrome symbols. Am I doing something wrong? Cause I'm feeling like an idiot now... Sorry that I'm such a bother...
