I know y'all are very busy, but please help.

I have read the *must read* article and look over countless other forums. However, I am still completely lost.

I have the Sims 3 game that I bought from the store. I installed it on to my computer no problem. I then downloaded the sims 3 Island Paradise from your site. However, when opening it I used winzip. It wasn't until I contuined my days of looking that I realized that files can get messed up if you use winzip. "oops.. My bad" Help

Neways I downloaded winrar. What do I need to do to fix this?

When I opened the files and moved them to their own folder, I looked at the instruction guide. It said step 1 was to click on sims3ep09setup.. but I can't find that anywhere.. There is only a sims3ep10setup.. I clicked that and it runs the install shield and says "This product requires an installed copy of The Sims 3. Please install The Sims 3 before installing this product." Question

Could you please help me. Sorry if a thread like this exists I never found one. And can you explain to me in step by step what I am supposed to do. I am a little computer illiterate. :newfag: I appreciate your time and effort!

Try installing the latest manual patch, from step #2 here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly

Then try re-installing "Island Paradise".

Unfortunately, this bug happens sometimes, and if it still doesn't work for you, try un-installing the base game. Re-boot the computer, and then re-install the base game.

After that, re-apply the manual patch, and then again try installing "Island Paradise".
