Sims 3 Uninstall everything to download late night?

I've been trying to download late night expansion and for some reason when I extract it (with Winrar) and I try to install it, I keep getting these error messages
like "checksum error in support\updates...the file is corrupt".

And when I ignore the error messages and keep it  downloading...the installation window comes up, but once it starts installing it asks for "Insert Disc 1 setup need the next disk".

I've redownloaded the Late Night Expansion twice and each time I keep getting these errors.

The first part of your message is only partly correct: you don't have to un-install anything, if you want to install "Late Night". But if you want to use Games4TheWorld's "Ultimate fix" (crack), you need to have at least one of the other expansions mentioned in step #1 of this guide here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly

And generally, read the other steps in that guide too ! Because they are the most recent instructions on how to install The Sims 3 correctly.


Next, try re-downloading "Late Night" with a different bittorrent client; examples for these clients are...

- uTorrent
- Bittorrent
- BitLord
- BitComet
- Azureus

and a few others - just google for them.   Good luck for now !

P.P.S  Try creating an empty folder somewhere. Then re-open the download with WinRAR, mark ALL contents of the .RAR with your mouse (or press Ctrl + A inside the .RAR), and then drag + drop the contents out into the empty folder you just created. It's vital that you extract ALL contents of the .RAR, into that folder. And inside the folder, use the autorun.exe to start the installation.

Okay so the installshield wizard pops up but before this, when I double clicked the "Sims3EPO3Setup.exe", I keep getting a message from Winrar diagnostics saying

that the "file or directory is corrupt and unreadable". Is this a common problem with this expansion or do i just have to keep using different torrent programs?

Also, when I continue with the installshield wizard ( despite the previous errors) it asks "Setup Needs The Next Disk...Please instert disk 1 the contains the file 
Caches\Bridgeport.objectCache." and I dont know where this particular file is located.

Are you by any chance using an older version of WinRAR ? If so, please re-download and re-install a newer version of it.

Also, can you try right-clicking on the autorun.exe (or the other installation .exe's) and choose "run as Administrator" ? That's if you have Windows Vista or a later OS...

If nothing else works, try indeed re-downloading with another torrent client. Good luck again !
