Sims 3 Generations Version Issue.[SOLVED]

I'm encountering a weird problem that seems to be specific to the Generations expansion pack.

I followed the instructions for the Sims 3 Ultimate Fix...I installed the base game, patched it, added the expansion packs I wanted, cracked it, bam. Everything worked great. I played for several months with no trouble, until yesterday when I decided that I wanted to add Generations (which I had not included in my initial install, because I didn't want it at the time). However, after installing it (I followed the ultimate fix for this install as well), I received a popup stating something along the lines of "the newest expansion is not the same version as the base game. Proceeding to play could cause serious instability". I decided to test it out; the game froze and crashed 3 times in a row, not 1 minute into play. In the end I had to use system restore to revert my PC to a workable state. (For the record, I installed the following expansions without any trouble whatsoever: Pets, Supernatural, World Adventures, Ambitions, and University Life).

Has anyone else had this problem with Generations? Am I missing something incredibly obvious? Any help would be much appreciated. I'm on the 3rd gen of my original family and I think this expansion pack would really enhance the experience of raising the next batch of kids.
