Can you recognize this song?

Hi there!

Does anybody recognize the song with the notes from the midi file below? I thought it was from the Bee Gees, but I can't seem to find it on their discography (look for it since the 90's every once in a while, no success, melody "finders" won't recognize it either)...

Thanks a lot if you can find it, I'd love to download the entire song! The notes are not perfect (I made the search manually, no music genius at all here), but they can give you an idea and you will probably recognize if you know the song well Wink

Thanks, guys! I hope we can find it, since I have been looking for it for almost 20 years without success, and I only remember about those notes (the rhythm is completely wrong and probably a couple of notes, but you may recognize the chorus).

I tried Soundhound, didn't work.
It doesn't sound like it's the actual song, but just someone trying to reproduce it on the piano. Correct me if wrong though.

That piece sounds too..."generic" and common. Nothing that really stands out in my ears. Always hated it myself, when I hear a good song but cannot find out the artist and/or the song title.

Usually though I do recall a (small) portion of the lyrics, which I then put into google, and often end up with a good result. Of course, that doesn't work in this particular case...

Also, 20 years? Dammit, these kind of things stop me from sleeping at night because my head will hum or tune or sing the lyrics of a song and won't rest until I've listened to or found the song! I feel your pain ; - ;

No, it's not the actual song, I just played around on a website that's supposed to search for songs from notes, but I only got classical music and it did not work (I tried "The Winner Takes it All", from ABBA, just to see if the tool actually worked with my almost non existent musical skills, and it worked, so I guess maybe the song is not so common as I thought).

It's a bunch of notes that I have from my memory from a part of the song. I don't know why, but I heard it many times in the past (I don't know if it's from 70's or 80's, but I feel it's from Bee Gees or some similar sounding group). Yep, it's being really hard, I didn't have luck with that so far Sad

Yes, it kinda is, sorry. I looked into all the Bee Gees stuff I could get my hands on (since it sounded like their stuff or similar), but nothing so far. Tried that "single" Gibb brother as well, no success either. No clue on the lyrics, but the notes keep playing in my head from time to time, crazy...

Ha ha ha. Yep, that's crazy! If I knew the lyrics it would be much easier, probably, but I only remember those few notes from the chorus. Thanks.

It will be quite expensive to whoever isn't in Europe (those aren't likely to appear unless they are rich or if they can schedule European vacations for the same time frame)...

But seriously, if something like that had happened earlier, I would have said something like "yes, let's see if we can organize something". But nowadays...I don't know. The "magic" has somewhat faded away, sorry. Maybe it's because I simply don't come here as often as I used to in earlier times. I'm not feeling as enthusiastic as in earlier times anymore.

Also, yes, let's not forget about the aspect of team members from all parts of the world. Nowadays, yes, most of the (remaining) team is located in Europe or the near vicinity. We used to have people from the US and Asia too, back then. Keep in mind that flights to the US for Europeans are expensive, and vice versa too. It would already be miraculous if "half of the people" showed up there.

Keep in mind too that the community on here (i.e. people who come and post here regularly !) tends to be very "fluctuating"; in fact, it's for the most part the team members only who make up of something like a community.

But of course...who knows ? Maybe one day something can be arranged.
