Sims 3 Complete Collection - Ambitions

Hi! 

I've downloaded the Sims 3 Complete Collection and followed the instructions for installation. 
I opened the file with StuffitExpander and then made a .dmg of all the expansions before installing them in order.  When I'd finished I applied the crack to the base game. 
It worked really well and I can play with the game with all the expansions - save for Ambitions. Please help! 

The files are there in the Applications folder but when I load the Sims 3 the icon for Ambitions at the bottom of the screen is missed out (as if I haven't got the expansion). 
When I clicked specifically on the Ambitions icon in the Applications folder it said that it needed to be updated - which I did - and now when I click it it said there an unknown error occurred. 
When I attempted to uninstall it (through the Sims Uninstaller) there was a selectable line of blank space where the Ambitions pack should be listed.  The list went from Loft Stuff and left an empty line before Fast Lane Stuff. I tried to uninstall this blank line (listed as (null)) but it didn't seem to do anything. 
I followed the method for an Ultimate Fix which also didn't work. 

It seems like it installed properly (because all the files are there and the programme realises there is an expansion) but for some reason isn't being read properly by the programme itself.

EDIT: Just been into build mode on a saved game and it seems I can access the buy items in the Ambitions expansion pack. :S

Hi there! I am not a Mac user, but there IS a manual update for Ambitions, and you might be missing that...

Ah, well... We actually don't need seperate crack for the patching early expansions, Sim Architect

The problem you described is mostly common with Island Paradise, and we don't know the main reason of it. I'd like you to follow the steps in this post here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t13328-possible-solution-for-those-who-are-having-problem-with-invisible-icon

I think you need to have a clean uninstallation as seems like there has been a corruption with your Sims 3 preference folders. In the post, you cna find a link to how to do it.

Please let me know the result after applying all the steps.
