Unable to start game error Empty Unable to start game error

I've installed my game from the Sims 3 Complete Collection torrent by carefully using the "Must Read" guide's instructions. I've installed only one expansion pack as a tester, Ambitions, because I at first got an error regarding needing a registration code, but I no longer get that. Now everytime I open my game I only get a black screen and the cursor before this pops up:

Unable to start game error Sims_310

What can I do to fix this?

Hi there! The "must read" you have read may be a tiny bit outdated. Please follow the guide and/or the video below and let us know where you are stuck in. Ah! And remember to update your video drivers, please! Thanks!!

Hello,

Did you add any mods or custom content?
This particular error code is most often associated with a mod conflict of some sort.

Another thing: Ambitions may not be the right expansion pack for you to test the game. Try adding another, newer one.

What he said. Thanks, Lady ElDi! I did not pay attention to the fact that she ONLY installed Ambitions (dumb me Facepalm)

Yes, she needs to install Generations or any NEWER than Generations Expansion or Stuff pack for the game to work, otherwise the fix won't work.
