issue with latest crack that features CL

Hey guys,

So i am getting an error saying origin needs to be running, I use the G4TW versions and im getting this error, can anyone help me please. Thank you!

I am having this problem too. For anybody that curious, the exact error message is, 

"Unable to start:

Origin is not currently running. Please make sure that Origin is running before attempting to play The Sims™ 4

[d3382ced:984c6a38:00000000:00000000]"

Fix for the "Unable to start: Origin is not currently running" error:


Open 'Game/Bin' and run 'TS4_x64.exe' (or 'TS4.exe') as an administrator.

i tried that, it still doesn't work for me

Sadly I'm getting the same thing.

I have the base game but I downloaded everything from G4tw so there were no issues. Up til I installed CL I was able to play. I put my items in C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 like I did for the other sims EPs. Seemed ok so I started as admin and it says that it's unable to start as Origin isn't running. So I tried running origin OFFLINE of course nope it told me that origin needed to be closed & if it was my first time running the game to do so in admin.

Hoping it can be fixed

I had the same issues,this how i fixed it:
-First,clean your register with Ccleaner, and make sure if u have origin,it's not running(Uninstall it if you want).
-Move your Sims 4 floder to ;c/program files (x86/.
-now extract the downloaded ".rar" to the desktop.
-Move these floder (that you extracted earlier) to c/program files (x86/The Sims 4.
-Run the game.

@Pandawa aside from the register cleaner - I don't usually fiddle with those cuz I've had trojans cuz of things like that in the past everything is as you say & still same problem. I'm tempted at this point to just uninstall and re-install it completely

When you still have the winrar download for City Living, make sure you extract it to a "safe folder" that is excluded in your anti-virus.
Then copy the folder Game to your installation folder again.
Whenever you see the Origin error the culprit is either that Origin is open somewhere on your computer or the crack has been attacked by your anti virus
