Need Help !!

I have two sims 4 families and they both have a child I wanted to age up to a teen but couldn't find out how to do it, I got one aged up using testingcheats Cas.fulleditmode, then I found the way to do it through testing cheats without the cas screen since then my game keeps crashing  I can only use it for a few minutes then it crashes is there anyway to fix this ?????? I read that if you use the CAS screen to age up a sim it causes glitches  but after I had done it (((((

This glitch cannot be fixed as far as I can see I have spent hours tralling through my game and files and no matter what I removed from the game the game kept crashing after being loaded for a few minutes

Sorry it took so long to get back to you

Please try to delete your cache, using this guide.
If it doesn't work, please delete your saved game, and start with a fresh new game.

The normal way to age up a Sim is to organize them a nice birthday party, with a birthday cake and make him blow the candles.
Actually, just the cake/candle thing is enough. Who needs a party?

Many thanks for te reply It is handy to know how to delete the cache but lesson learned I ended up having to reinstall the sims 4 from the start

Tip for the future: try getting used to NOT resorting to immediately uninstalling/reinstalling things. In my experience it VERY rarely fixes issues, and it is especially useless for in-game ailments. Chances are, unless you know what you are doing, you could ruin the situation even more by a false uninstallation. The fact that your game appears to be running fine now does not necessarily have to mean anything.

Cache files can be one reason, yes. But it can be a host of other things as well. Some basic instructions can also be found here:
