Not allowing me to get over with the prompt

I have parenthood installed, latest fix installed.
This are the problems i face while in game.
1. sometimes when the children get some event, like this kind:
It will allow me to click, but it won't close it. so everything this happened, i would have to restart my game. Please help!
2. my character values panel is not opening, and when it does open, it only shows halfway like this:

Hi there,
Do you have any mods installed? If you do, try moving the mods folder out and see if it changes anything. Parenthood interactions should have been fixed with this patch.
