Already have it, but...

So i downloaded the last 2 sims 4 updates as soon as they come out, before bowling stuff got merged with vampires and toddlers.
i'm having some random issues happen in the game - would re-downloading the last 2 downloads and copying them over and overwriting the current files help fix some of these issues?
i read somewhere someone saying re-applying everything helped fix some issues they were having with some mods (in specific, MCCC)

in other words, is this a viable thing to do? re-download the last 2 downloads and just re-merge and overwrite files, i mean.
what steps should i take, otherwise?

no no, i downloaded and installed vampire+toddler as soon as it came out, applied the endless-loading-screen patch before it was added to the official downloads, then downloaded and installed parenthood+bowling stuff.. and then bowling stuff was merged with vampire+toddler stuff, and parenthood was re-released separately

effectively, vampire+toddler became vampire+toddler+bowling, and parenthood was left by itself.. from what i understand, both downloads are now re-released?

so my question is, would it make any difference if i re-downloaded vampire+toddler+bowling and parenthood, and re-copied them over the existing files, then applying step #7? or would i need to delete something before doing so? (is it even necessary?)

i'd test all of this out, but my internet speed is extremely slow (less than 1Mbps), since i live in a rural region.
