start-up error - Unhandled page fault on write access 0x70000000 at address 0x0040597c

Hello,
I just attempted to install Seasons to my legit base game from Origin. Unfortunately I didn't see that the directions had been updated so I had followed the original step-by-step Mac instructions and the read me text. The crack was applied in the electronic arts/the sims 3/game/bin folder as instructed. Unfortunately now having some issues - my launcher will open but when I click to play the game I get a black screen before it crashes and gives me this message: "Unhandled page fault on write access 0x70000000 at address 0x0040597c. Do you want to debug it?"

I searched the forum but couldn't find any posts w/ someone getting the same error. Is there anything I can do about this since I already applied the crack? What do I need to do to work backwards and start over and apply the appropriate bug fixes? Do I need to uninstall my whole base game and start over?
