Sims 3 on High Sierra.

Thanks guys for creating this great community. I followed the guide The Sims 3 Mac Guide to install the Sims 3. Now I am running into the issue where the app icon appears in my dock, but then closes automatically.

The console does output this error when I try to open it:

/BuildRoot/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/AppleFSCompression/AppleFSCompression-96.1.1/Libraries/CompressData/CompressData.c:353: Error: Unknown compression scheme encountered for file '/System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Library/AppExceptions.bundle/Exceptions.plist'

Has anyone else had any issues with running the Sims 3 on High Sierra? It appears that the issue has to do with the new AFPS filesystem.

I have also tried running the To-9355-1.67.2.024002 update and The_Sims_3_fix_MAC, but neither of them were able to resolve the issue.
