Sincere THANKS to you! Empty Sincere THANKS to you!

Post by Guest Tue 21 Nov 2017, 18:08

I really want to THANK YOU for all of the time and effort you put into providing this - plus your instructions and offers of even more help!!!
I tip my fedora.
I'm not at all experienced in virus check exclusions, extracting, and "installing" (didn't know what actual action that word meant to do at first) and was really uncertain about trying to install all of these packs & updates on my own. (I had help installing the base game long ago.)

Your detailed instructions made me feel like I was doing the right thing every step.
Very Happy

I wasn't sure when to move TS4 to the none x64 "Program Files" folder because each step's install guide said to do it then - but the website instructions said to do it at once at the end. I assume it doesn't matter (or we should always follow the website as it's most recent).

I must've actually done it all correctly because OMG IT WORKS - Yaaaaayyy!
THANK YOU!!   I'm so happy emergaw

Hello @Silk!

Glad to hear you have managed to get to a happy end. Very Happy  Yes, it's better to look at the instructions in the Forum post here, because DLC torrents (or better, the instructions included in them) can become outdated at some point in the future. And unlike the Forum post, you cannot actually edit the contents of a torrent once it has been released.

I would also recommend, that if you have a big enough (external) hard-drive, that you copy the entire installation folder of The Sims 4 on there, for backup purposes, so that you don't need to re-install these games in the event e.g. you need to re-install Windows.

Other than that, have fun!
