Sims 4 stopped working

hi all (or admins only im not sure)

not long ago, i downloaded all the expansion packs and th base game from this website.
 
initially there were a few bumps, but i managed to start the game and play it several times

recently, i unpinned the sims 4 icon from my taskbar and now when i try to get it to work from the Game folder, it shows me a white screen and then crashes stating that the "sims 4 has stopped working"

i'd really appreciate the help, thank you

Many people have more than one location for The Sims 4.
So are you sure your new shortcut is pointing to the correct directory ?
Have a search on your computer for TS4.exe

im clicking on the ts4.exe directly from the game folder and the issue still persists

Any idea howmany TS4.exe you can have in all kind of directories ?

So, how sure are you that you have the correct TS4 to start the game with ?

alright i see the issue!! my working ts4.exe was hidden in some secret folder,,, thanks a lot for your help!
