Sims 3 ambitions not working. [SOLVED]

I have the purchased versions of the sims 3 and world adventures and had downloaded your cracked version of ambitions. on friday when i tried to update when prompted everything ceased to work. i finally got frustrated and uninstalled all of them and reinstalled them but everytime i install your cracked version, following the directions exactly, it messes up somehow and does something to the sims 3 making the version o.o.o or something as such and therefore i cannot play.please help as this is very frustrating and i would just like to play my game again.

I have the exact same problem.

because my EA download manager wouldn't work. So I skipped every step where you had to let EA download manager check for updates. This basically means I installed WA + HELS + Ambitions after another without checking the game in between (because I read somewhere that the launcher wasn't working and Ambitions would solve this)

So I just finished installing all the packs and opened up The Sims and got this message:

'Your basegame from The Sims 3 isn't compatible with the current The Sims 3 expansion pack. Update your game through the Startprogram.'

In the bottom left corner it shows 'version 0.0.0.0' and you can't click on any tab. I have done everything according to the steps, except for when I had to let EA download manager update the game.

Please try the following:

1. Backup your SaveGames.
2. Uninstall all The Sims 3 games on your system.
3. Restart your PC.
4. Install your retail version of The Sims 3 and update to the latest version.
5. Install your retail version of WA and update to the latest version.
6. Install our Ambitions release from www.games4theworld.org .
7. See if the Game works now.

Ok I'll try that.. But I'm kind of positive I will encounter the same EA download manager problem when it can't connect. So what should I do when EA download manager can't connect? Because that means I won't be able to update to the latest version of that pack. Is there a way I can get around EA download manager and patch it myself?

Then uninstall the EA Download Manager after updating WA.
When you Install Ambitions, you'll automatically have the latest version of the Game, so there's no need to Update there any more.

Should I download EA download manager at all?
Because the first time I only tried to install WA and I got stuck at this point:

6. Do the same with the other .exe Patches in the 'Crack 3' folder, from up to down.
7. When you applied all the Updates, open The Sims 3 Launcher. You'll be prompted to Download
the EA Download Manager if you haven't already Installed it. So, if you don't have it, Install
it. When you've Installed the EA Download Manager, click on 'Refresh' on the Game Updates -tab.
A pop-up will appear, telling you that there's an Update for you Game. Click 'OK' to Download
and Install the Update.

It said it could not connect, so the installation failed even when I tried to skip that part because it would say the basegame and the expansion were not compatible.

The second try, today, I didn't even download EA download manager but it still didn't work out.


What to do?

You didn't tell you don't have retail version of WA.

Well, just Install the EA Download Manager then. Did you uninstall all The Sims 3 games and then restarted your PC? Is your base Game a retail version?

Ok here is what I did..

I uninstalled all sims programs
I restarted my computer
I installed your version of the sims (and I downloaded EA download manager when it asked for it)

When I click on the tab 'updates for the game' my EA download manager tries to find an update and it says
'Can't connect to EA download manager' while it says my game is up to date.

Is this normal and can I continue installing WA or will I still miss a patch which causes the game not to work when I install WA?
Or is it possible for me to try to find torrents for the patches so I can update till the latest Sims 3 base game patch?

There's no need to Update The Sims 3 base game, just move on to WA. There you'll Install the needed patches from 'Crack 3'.

Ok so I'm at step 6 from WA installation. I have just installed all the patches and opened the Sims, and as before it says: 'Can't connect to EA download manager'... should I continue and just skip that step or is there something else I should do? Because I'm afraid it won't have the latest update this way and that it won't work

Just skip that and move on. When you've Installed Ambitions, you'll have the latest version.

Pfff...

Ok so I got up to the point where I wanted to start Ambitions.

In the left corner I can see all 4 icons from the game, but for some reason the base game icon is a little.. vague? Is this normal?

Anyway, it says my version is: 1.14.11.007002
It said there is an update available: Sims3_4.2.32.007001 from 4.0.87.006001.exe

When I click on 'update' it doesn't do anything
And when I try to play the game anyway it says: Service Initialization Failed (0x039e8474)

I almost got it to work, even EA download manager works (except for this update) and now it still won't work

I have done everything according to the installation guide..
Any idea?

As you can read HERE, there's currently no fix for this error.

I recommend you contact our Live Support after 3-4 August and ask them to do a full clean Installation for you.

Ok I will do that.
