Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit not recognizing second hard drive.

System: Windos 7 Ultimate 64bits SP1
Intel core duo @2.66 GHz
4G ram
Primary disk: 250Gb
Secondary disk:2Tb
Energy source 550 watts real
If there is any additional information that you may need, feel free to ask.
Issue: Recently I installed a secondary slave drive in which to store all my files and leave the main smaller drive free for programs and gaming.
The secondary drives disappears at random times (Samsung HD203WI ATA Device). It will not show up again until I do a hard boot. Then it is recognized by the PC again, until well, who knows!
I research the web for a possible explanation to my problem and found common thread of people saying they were having the exact same problem with secondary drives with Windows 7 64bit op system. I followed the threads and was lead to install service pack 1, still the same problem.
2. Change the energy source cables and ATA cables (same) switch ATA ports (same)
3. Went into disk management and changed paths and letter for the drive (same).
4. Today, when it went off the air I was also missing A DVD drive. Turn off the computer, Hard booted the DVD Drive was there, but the Tera drive was not. Turned the PC off again. This time all drives were showing and working. Went in and disconnected one of my DVD drives. Still testing!
5. Downloaded SeaTools to check on HD errors, scanned: No erros found. There are no error logs, drivers are all up to date.

try this.

1) open "Computer Management"
2) click on "Disk Management" (under Storage -left side)
3) see if you can see the 2tb hard disk. (Disk 1)
4) if yes. right click it then click online.

Ok is already set to online. Actually last night I went in into elevated command mode and into disk part and placed it as inactive, since the only active disk should be the one with the OP. It has not disappear on me yet; but it usually does it at random times. I also installed SeaTools and ran the SMART mode; however it seems that there is no problems with the disk itself. I also disconected a DVD rom 1 out of two and see if it was causing interferance. Also, there was a partition of 996MB that were free and showed as a separate disk. Think it was left over by the tech that cooked up my PC. So far is there. Thanks for your advice, I'll keep you all posted, hope it is solved.

ive formatted it in Computer Management.

still its not showing up in my computer. so tried to change some settings and i saw that my drive is offline. so tried to set it online then restart pc. there perfectly working now.
