Unable to connect to origin? [SOLVED]

Alright so I'll explain this as best I can and try to make it short and sweet lol. I have a lot of cc, sims 3 store content, and all that fun stuff. My expansions/stuff packs are: Base, Ambitions, Generations, Late night, Pets, Showtime, Fast lane, Katy Perry Sweet treats, and High end loft stuff. I have a LOT of towns install, prob most of them including sims 3 store. I have EP towns plus Hidden Springs, Lucky Palms, Lunar lakes, Riverview and maybe more not 100%.
So anyway, I can't connect to origin. I wanted to install the new town Sunlit tides, and I can't because it won't let me connect to origin it says 'unable to connect'. I don't understand because it's done this before but I kinda always figured out how to get around it..well now I can't. And I have to update my game to 1.36 before I can install Sunlit tides (town I've been waiting for ).

(FYI): I have the launcher up and ready to install 1.36 just can't connect to origin.

So is there a way to avoid origin and do something else? And if not, how do I fix it? Thanks in advance![b]

You can bypass the Origin app and use the manual update found HERE ,then install Sunlit Tides.

Thank you for moving it Lady haha..and thank you Dracos it worked! But now I have a new problem. I opened up a new thread just in case but I also wanted to reply in case you guys could help. The patch and Sunlit Tides both installed fine. Now, when I go to play it says no game disc found, after I installed the patch. What does this mean? It comes up with Katy Perry Sweet Treats to, as normal but now it says no game disc found.

Okay, so should I do all the steps or just the one you pointed out?

Also, I can't see the installtion guide..it's in a format I can't read..

Now it's showing up as showtime running first. It goes to the showtime loading screen and loads 100%..then it freezes and says The Sims 3 has stopped working. Should I do all the cracks in the fix?

Okay, it's not freezing to my desktop anymore the DEP thingy worked!

But now it still keeps bringing showtime 'no game disc found'. I used the crack from the ultimate fix in the sims 3 base game/bin but it's still now working.

Here are two screenshots to get the whole folder, it also said there were 38 items.
