Lucky Simoleon lobby floor tile question
My game could not be running smoother or better in any way. G4TW absolutely rules. You made it easy, explained everything, even the video gave me confidence. I followed the instructions, sometimes I thought I knew something and didn't follow as closely as I should have but I kept reading a little more, a little more and finally in the end when I did EXACTLY as instructed, of course everything was perfect. I'd have to say most problems are probably based on really not CAREFULLY following EVERYTHING in the instructions. I'm quite experienced and believe me, I had to read the instructions CAREFULLY too! So thank you a million for all of that help and your wonderful attitude too. It's like night and day from my experience.
That said. One tiny and I mean ITZY-BITZY thing is bothering me. The rug in the lobby of the Lucky Simoleon Casino. I have spent about a WEEK (I wish I was kidding) trying to figure out what floor tile that is, and I just cannot do it. It's hard enough it's diagonal but even knowing that - well I just cannot figure it out. For the love of God can someone please tell me where is that flooring is from?
It's funny how tiny this problem is compared to the serious problems people have. I feel for them and even a little guilty wanting PERFECTION for myself on this level... but I'm going to be all OCD about this floor until I have it fixed, I know myself and it's just better if I try to get this fixed so I can move on, seriously LOL!
Thanks again you are the BEST BEST BEST.

Hello,
Thank you for your kind words, and your trust in us
To find out where a specific something came from in build/buy mode, you could use the eydropper tool on it. That selects the object/tile/wallpaper, but also activates the section it came from.

Re: Lucky Simoleon lobby floor tile question
Thanks for responding. I didn't explain why it was a downloads problem did I... my bad. The problem is I never got that floor, so I am trying to recreate it as I have seen it in screenshots but I don't have that floor and am not sure what download to get to obtain that floor.
I got the casino alright but I had to go thru and redo every window and column. I had those in my build mode, but not that floor for some reason.
If anyone can click on it in their game and maybe let me know what stuff pack or expansion that floor actually comes in... or did it came with the casino and I should try to redownload it maybe?
Thanks again,
Rome
//EDIT
Also if anyone could explain what causes this lot install problem, that would be great. When you install a lot and the buy mode items in the pictures are replaced with base game objects it just means you don't have that cc. But what if you have the build mode windows, for instance but for some reason you have to manually put the right ones in? Or the right columns or flooring.
Well I was able to fix 2 out of 3 missing build items but when there's a floor substitute and you can't figure out what it's supposed to be, I don't know how to fix that. The only idea I have is possibly I acquired the build objects after the initial lot install and that is why I had them by the time I noticed they weren't right. Or maybe I got a non-original version of the lot?
I don't understand how the lot packages work as far as cc or premium content goes. This has always confused me.
UPDATE ok don't trouble yourself to explain it all, turns out to be quite confusing according to some instructions I found about installing lots, then exiting without saving, then uninstalling via launcher, then install some "fix" you get somewhere (oiy) and then deleting caches and then going to play and everything is fine. It's really too confusing just for a floor.
I did have a similar problem with the drapes in the Serenity Retreat where I had a substitute. That time I was able to figure it out. I did have it but it was a very different color, so I'm guessing custom colors are not included in cracked lots, is that right?

Re: Lucky Simoleon lobby floor tile question
Hello,
This is a very well known issue as a matter of fact. You have to rebuild the interior of the lot due to the decrapifying process. You do have the lot, and the objects, but since both are decrapped, the items aren't recognized as the original items, so they have to be replaced. And I do assume that custom colours aren't included, which probably makes it more difficult to make everything exactly as it was.
Perhaps someone has rebuilt the casino and knows which tile it is.
We still call it an in-game problem since the issue is unavoidable.
